Air and Space Museum - Saturday - July 24th
I was in Maryland with Marcia and a coworker spent the morning at the Air and Space Museum. This is the one by Dulles airport. It belongs to the Smithsonian and they also have another Museum at their complex in Washington DC.
This one was totally designed with the knowledge of the things they would display, and the final arrangement.
It is huge and warrants a whole day or more, to see everything. In fact, if one lived close by, several half day trips may be more useful where you can check on things from previous visits. The space shuttle is a mockup. The remainder (I believe) are all the real deal.
I was surprised at how small some of them really are. The Shoestring Racer being one of them.
These are right from the camera, no special order - just as I walked about here and there. Included the blurry ones as well.
