Trip 156 - Sunday - Nov 28th

Another trip to "Check Things Out". It was a nice day for a car ride and off we went.

Wanted to finalize the engine prep for winter, but there was ice in the bilge which took a bit to clear out. The new epoxy/glas is doing its job. I found, using that newfound chisel to fracture the ice and then toss the blocks out the door, worked just great. The sides of the ice, and the bottom were not frozen to the fibreglas which made the job real easy.

Why would any reasonable man or woman, live in such a hot clime when one can open their garage door to a blizzard? One should have their head examined for even thinking such Norwegian Blaspheme.

I mean, look at the scenic view one gets first thing when one has to go to work. Isn't that a great way to start the day? Scraping and brushing off that beautiful layer of frozen gunk? And in your slippers and just pants on under your parka as you want a warm car after your hot shower?

Be honest now, who would ever want to live where the sun shines every day, 85 degrees, palm trees when you can live in this gawdawful weather in the state of 10,000 taxes where -nothing- is allowed?

Be honest ... Real honest ...

An old man, with too many pounds on a ladder. Making an attempt to crawl thru a door that was misplaced and way too small. But, sacrifice has to be made somewhere.

That's ice down there.

Bilge nice and dry. I will return to do more the next time.

I miss our boat. I really do.

Later ...
