Trip 155 - Wednesday Evening - October 27th
Having just made the trip to unload things off the boat and measure for a boat cover, I decided with all the things needing doing back home, we would have it wrapped once again instead of going crazy doing a cover ourselves.
That Friday, Empty Pockets would be wrapped in shrinkwrap again. We made the trip to get all things prepared and unload more things not needed.
One decision was to either thread lighter weight lines up and over the masthead and remove the good ones, or drop the halyards which would require someone at the top to rethread them. The lines are expensive and UV is their enemy throughout the year. I reason why leave them out in the wind and sun and freezing rain/snow for half the year?
Knowing the Windex was knocked about when we raised the mast and fed the knotmeter wire thru the deck, I dropped the lines and brought them home. They will be washed and stowed til the spring. Then, when we fix the Windex, they will be going up and over once again.
It was a cold night, windy as the dickens, but Empty Pockets is now ready for a wrap.

Later ...
