Trip 140 - Wednesday Evening - June 16th

There was a storm that went thru and we drove down to sail, or set.

We set.

I bailed out the bilge and checked for any damage, but there was not any.

We have not been down in a while as we are doing things back in Woodbury. Mainly, cleaning, tossing, selling, donating. eBay and Craigslist are great tools right now. Wannagetridofanoldlamp? Put it on Craigslist in the Free section. It will be gone.

Now, under Marcia' care and direction, and my aching feet, the kitchen, dinette, living room, master bedroom, master bathroom, outside - front and back, are all up to par. I must say, I like it better that way than the dorm room mess I gave her on her return last March.

Another side note: Remember my diatribe of UPS Power Supplies for a computer? These past two months, there has been 14 times the power supply kicked in due to an interruption. Plus, every time a computer is turned on, the data we need, is backed up routinely to the server in the basement. Plus, a couple weeks ago, we had ComCast come out to fix the Internet issues we were having. 2-3x a day, it would lose it's connection and we had to power cycle everything. Arrrgh. Now, there is dedicated line from the place the coax enters the house, to the cable modem. Has not dropped one time yet. Fun, has been restored when using computers.

I, sleep easy now.

These spiders are sure busy. I always marvel at how they -know- and how they can actually spin these webs. And repair them or make them over once they fall down. The big clincher for me is, how do they get that first strand across the top. They sure work hard.

My feet still bear the burns from the brief vacation we had.

Yes, the bilge is dry. These digital cameras, and Photoshop, sometimes make things look alot different than on real life. Soon, I will crack these nuts off, prep the surface, spin on new SST ones with washers, and recoat the bilge with new fibreglas and then, new gelcoat.

All at rest, waiting for their owners.

From the parking lot. Lake City sure has a nice facility. Home to 635 things that float on the water.

Btw, The Head will be addressed soon. And installed. At our age, having that on board is mandatory. Soon ...

Later ...
