Sail #16 - Saturday - October 11th
Marcia and I stayed on The Boate Friday night thru Sunday afternoon. Cool evenings, but was warm during the day.
The microwave gave out and will be returned to Best Buy. No ribs for supper. Nutz. But the Friday night steak was good and breakfast Saturday at Rythym and blues and Sunday at a ma/pa restaurant in Wabasha? Yummy. We sat around on Sunday and spent some time with the Spirits of Janice Joplin ...
Saturday, a warm and perfect, vigorous sail down and back up the lake with Teri, Toby and Ben. Pulled a wake most of the time. We were to have lunch at Pepin, but the crew mutinied in favor of lunch back at Lake City and a pool table. So, we turned around and headed back home.
First, some images Tim created of The Boate.

Our Tack Sharp Crew (and Captain) failed to turn on the GPS right away, so I guessed a little. Note the tremendous start and getting underway.

Tim came down with Joseph and Connor and DeAnn joined in too. Here is his current sailboat - a 16.5' Precision. He is lusting for a 23 footer so stay tuned.

Here they are, out on the lake. His boat, and crew, handled very very well indeed.

I pulled away from a stop sign a bit too quickly.
Poor Herman. Marcia held him tight the rest of the way.
No Signature Shot. You will have to imagine what I could have created this time. To much communion with the Spirits of Janice Joplin (again).
Later ...
